I was in band in high school. we called ourselves, KAPTAIN KRUNCH AND THE FUNKY BUNCH. This was before that tool Marky Mark took the latter part of the name.
The coolest band names that I have ever heard are from local memphis groups.
Jif and the Choosey Mothers
The 5 that Killed Elvis (later known as the 5 that Framed OJ)
and
The Voodoo Villiage People (named after a cul de sac in a poor part of town where people practiced voo doo.)
