O Canada - [Etcetera]

It was a big day for us here at Etcetera. Matt from Canada and his wife Angela joined us in the studio.

Little did we know, what we thought was a friendly visit from a Canadian friend was actually part of an invasion from our neighbors to the north. Click here to witness the carnage of Operation Maple Dip. (Even the artwork for this post was provided by a Canadian)

In honor of the occasion, we have a special deal for our Canadian listeners. All Canadians are now able to subscribe to the podcast for free. Click here to take advantage of this incredible offer.

Well... we chatted about, perhaps, starting the Canadian chapter or .etc... however, upon further review I wonder if we would be better services if we just had a coup de tat! Canadian!! Rise Up. Grab your millions of guns that we only use to shoot real animals and unite to throw off our oppressors!

Living this close to the border I can only say it’s about time the Canadian invasion began. The brainwashing started with Captain Kirk and extended to Alex P. Keaton, Saturday Night Live and Degrassi Junior High. In future Canadian-American history books, they will say, “Remember ‘Canada Etcetera Day’ March 22, 2006 when the first blow was landed; when the blind Americans dropped their guard and welcomed us with discount passes to Fun Spot.”
I am willing to eat the poutine – to convert to metric – to try watching hockey on television. We Washingtonians welcome our new masters and gladly exchange the American indentured servitude of Wal-Mart for the gentle socialist yoke.
This could be the answer to all the problems of our fallen society. After all, is there any other nation in the world that can make a band called “Barenaked Ladies” so utterly clean? Nope, not even India.
And so I say, “Maranatha. Come quickly.” Let the peaceful, manicured, polite revolution begin.

Coo, roo, koo-koo, koo-koo, koo-kooh!
Coo, roo, koo-koo, koo-koo, koo-kooh!

Back from behind enemy lines, and missing the terrain, company, and weather! It's a grim 32ish here, though the weather took a downturn for my taste!

What a treat! The show was funtastic and beyond what I'd hoped for. 'Twas grand eh. Glad to be the covert op going under the radar. Gordo, excellent graphic. Erik, Sharon & Matt, you guys were awesome. Siam was great too. The fellowship...I mean, the Fred was awesome, and I only wish that it could have gone on longer! I still can't believe that you guys do this every week!

Wow, and Wow is all I can say!

Cheers
Matt from Canada
